There are also two Co-Op supermarkets and many local shops including a post office, butchers, bakers, chemists, plus a doctors, dentists, and vets to serve the growing population.

Other attractions to be found in Great Baddow are the Baddow Antiques Centre, which is open seven days a week and the Pontlands Park Country Hotel which is a popular setting for weddings, business conferences and offers accommodation in delightful surroundings along with its conservatory restaurant. The village is also home to the Great Baddow 10 mile run, which is held every May and in 2011, celebrated its 27th year in existence.
