Westlands Primary School ChelmsfordWestlands Community Primary School in Chelmsford caters for both boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 11. In the last Ofsted report in 2007, in which the school was classed as ‘satisfactory', there were 341 pupils on the register.

The School Motto of Westlands Community Primary School is "Together Everyone Achieves More" and to help this, in 2003, there was a large investment programme in the school buildings and resources. As a result, all classrooms now have interactive whiteboards, there are two computer suites, and outside, there is a large all-weather sports pitch.

Under the guidance of the national curriculum, Westlands Community Primary School in Chelmsford covers most subjects including, Geography, Science, History, Technology, Art and Religious Education. They are particularly strong in ICT and claim they were the first primary school to have a broadband connection to the internet.

On its website, Headteacher, Mrs Gill Bennison, states that priority of Westlands Community Primary School in Chelmsford is the happiness and well being of all the children. In the ‘school vision' statement, it goes on to say that "We must give every opportunity for a wide variety of meaningful learning experiences" & that they aim to make sure that "children to come out of school sensible, respectful, happy and well adjusted".

Westlands Community Primary School in Chelmsford can be found in Beeches Close, just over a mile to the West of Chelmsford town centre, and adjacent to West Park.
