Hylands School ChelmsfordHylands School is a secondary school in Chelmsford providing an education for students aged between 11 and 18 and has been classified as a ‘Specialist Science & Maths College' since 2004. In its last Ofsted Report in 2010, it had 919 registered pupils and was described as a ‘Satisfactory School'.

At Hylands School in Chelmsford, their aim is to create the ‘Right Environment for Learning'. In their ‘Vision Statement', it states they are striving to create a "vibrant educational community" which will empower its pupils grasp opportunities, maximise their potential and thereby succeed in life.

In addition to specialising in Science, Hylands School in Chelmsford also covers a number of subjects under the guidance of the national curriculum. Some of the various departments at the school include Business, Drama, Health & Social Care, LRC, Media, ICT, Media Studies, SEN, Psychology, and Sociology.

On its website, Headmaster, Mr David Struthers states that Hylands School is "proud of our academic achievements at all levels". He goes on to say that the school has some very talented staff who with their professionalism, dedication and hard work, "ensure that everything is done to help your child succeed at our school."

Hylands School can be found just over a mile to the West of Chelmsford town centre. It is located in Hatfield Grove, but not close to Hylands House & Hylands Park, as the name would suggest.
