Great Baddow High School ChelmsfordGreat Baddow High School in Great Baddow, Chelmsford is a Specialist Sports College School offering an education for pupils between the ages of 11 and 18. In its last Ofsted Report in 2008, there were 1,374 students on the register and it was described as a ‘Good' School.

Being a Specialist Sports College, Great Baddow High School in Chelmsford boasts first class sporting facilities, including an indoor swimming pool, sports hall and gymnasium, and large playing fields. Sports on offer include traditional sports such as Football, Rugby, Cricket & Hockey, along with Athletics, Swimming, Basketball, Trampolining, Gymnastics, Table Tennis & Netball. The school is also a ‘Centre of Excellence' for the area and students have achieved much success at both local and national level.

In addition to specialising in Sports Great Baddow High School also covers a number of subjects under the guidance of the national curriculum. Some of the various departments at the school include ICT & Business, Creative Arts, Dance, D & T, Humanities, SEN, & RBHIS. There are dedicated rooms for all subjects, including several laboratories, art studios, & food technology rooms.

On its website, Headteacher, Mrs Carrie Lynch, states that Great Baddow High School in Chelmsford is a "happy and successful school" which benefits from being on a large site and having specialist accommodation. She goes on to say that with the school's broad and varied curriculum, they pride themselves on "balancing modern approaches and technologies with traditional values".

Great Baddow High School can be found in Duffield Road, approx. two miles to the South of Chelmsford town centre.
