Chelmsford Miniature Railway

Located on Meteor Way in Chelmsford, is the fantastic Chelmsford Miniature Railway.

Operated by the Chelmsford Society of Model Engineers, there are two main railway tracks, one raised and one at ground level, both approximately 1,000 feet in length. Each of the tracks run steam and diesel engines and have a covered canopy for passengers.

Chelmsford Miniature Railway is open every Sunday afternoon between 2.00pm - 4.30pm from the end of April until the end of September. They also have special event days throughout the year including Open Days, Charity Train Rides, and the incredibly popular Santa Special in December which always sells out very quickly. Parking for the Chelmsford Miniature Railway is served by Meteor Way Car Park. Pedestrian entrance to the railway is not via the car park but by using the first right after the car park.
