Chelmsford Pool League consists of both a summer and winter league, mainly from public houses and social clubs in the town and the surrounding area.

Totalling thirty-six teams, divided into three divisions each of twelve teams, the Chelmsford Pool League also has divisional cups. There are also competitions arranged for single, doubles, mixed doubles, three man, captains, ladies, and an open tournament.

Teams from the Chelmsford Pool League also compete in an interleague competition against other sides from places such as Harlow, Basildon, Clacton, Barking and Brigtlingsea.

If you enjoy playing Pool and would like more information about joining a team, then you should contact the Chelmsford Pool League secretary Trevor Aylward on 07877 214043 or Chairman Nigel Ross on 07958 642518. Most teams are based in Chelmsford at public houses like Bird in Hand, Woolpack, The Tulip, Cock Inn & Compasses. There are also teams from outside the town in Baddow, Ingatestone, & Great Waltham.

If you want to play Pool but don't want to join a team, them why not pop along to one of the Pool clubs in Chelmsford. The Chelmsford Pool Club is based on the Rivermead Industrial Estate in Bishops Hall Lane and is part of the Chelmsford Snooker Club which is part owned by English snooker superstar Ali Carter. It has several 8 ball and 9 ball Pool tables and has a bar area, food, TV's and music.

The Qball Club is also based in Chelmsford and can be found in Barrack Square. It is a family run club with several tables in an air-conditioned environment. Food is available along with fully licensed bar facilities.
