Despite the increased admission charges for this, it is well worth the cost and you get to keep your special glasses for next time, if you remember them!

Chelmsford Odeon Cinema - How to Book Tickets
Booking tickets at Chelmsford Odeon is easy. Either you can just turn up in person and pay at the ticket desk, or you can buy over the phone or online.
To book your cinema tickets online, just choose your film and time, enter your email address so you can receive a confirmation, followed by your payment card details. Once checkout has been completed, you will be given a reference number. You will need to bring this along to the cinema, in addition to your payment card, so you can pick up your film tickets. Tickets can be collected from the ticket desk or from the automated ticket machines by inserting your payment card.

Also located nearby in Moulsham Street there is a Megazone with bowling and quasar.
How to Get to Chelmsford Odeon Cinema
Car: Which ever direction you are arriving from, follow signs to The Meadows Shopping Centre's Car Park (see below). This is located adjacent to the main road through the middle of Chelmsford, known as the Parkway, and is well signposted.
Train: When arriving at Chelmsford Train Station, the easiest way to get to the cinema is to turn left out of the rail station and keep walking straight until you come to the Chelmsford High Street. Keep walking until you see the Meadows Shopping Centre on your left and follow signs to the Odeon from there. The walk should take no more than ten minutes.
Bus: If arriving at the bus station, turn right past the railway station and follow the instructions above. If you need to get a bus, then you will need one which stops on the parkway, of which there are several.

The nearest parking for the Cinema and shops is The Meadows Shopping Centre's own Car Park.
The Meadows Shopping Centre Car Park is a short stay facility, mainly for the use of visiting Chelmsford shoppers and cinema goers. It is a multi-storey car parking facility with approximately 480 spaces over five levels and is the ideal place to park for access to the centre's shops as well as the Chelmsford High Street & Baddow Road.

An alternative to the hustle and bustle of a busy cinema is the Cramphorn Theatre in Chelmsford. They have regular showings of the latest films, like Burlesque, The Kings Speech and Black Swan, as well as classic films such as Don't Look Now and It's a Wonderful Life. Tickets are often a couple of pounds cheaper than at the Odeon and the theatre tends not to be as busy.
