CHELM JUNIOR NETBALL CLUBChelmsford Junior Netball Club was started in the early 1970’s by Jean Armstrong (President of the Chelmsford Senior Netball Club and one of the founders of the Chelmsford and District Netball League). 

During those early years Jackie Webb (who is now the Chairperson) was one of those girls.  Jackie’s Mum Beryl Webb (still a manager/umpire with the club) also helped with the umpiring and was later joined by Val Baker (still a manager with the club and now our treasurer) to help with the coaching.  

In 1991 Jeanne McCann (currently Chairperson of the Chelmsford & District Netball League) took over the leadership.  At the beginning of September in 1999 Jackie Webb took over from Jeanne McCann.  The Club now has 9 teams in the Chelmsford & District Junior Netball League ranging from Year 6 to Year 9.  The Club also has a very strong Development Squad of 30+ youngsters in Years 2, 3, 4 and 5, who play league High Fives.  

Team Managers are: Jackie Webb, Val Baker, Gill Wright, Kate Lincoln, Margaret Norman, Tessa Hunt, Hazel Webster, Laura Webb, Ellie Kent, Beryl Webb, Jeanne McCann and our helpers Hannah Mochrie, Kate Ellmore, and Jean Armstrong. 

Training is held at New Hall School on Mondays (except for Bank Holidays and School Holidays):
