Chelmsford Fireworks 2011 will soon be lighting up the town and the surrounding Essex night time skies as Bonfire Night fast approaches for another year. So break out your sparklers, grab your warm clothing and head out into the dark evening for some great family fun.
With several Chelmsford Fireworks 2011 displays from which to choose, the night sky will be awash with colour, loud bangs, and spectacular sights as the shows start on Friday 4th November 2011, continue with the majority on Guy Fawkes Night itself on Saturday 5th November 2011, finishing on Sunday 6th November 2011.
If you are looking for a Fireworks display actually in Chelmsford, then there are two main ones which are always well attended and popular with the locals. Starting off on Friday 4th November 2011 will be the Chelmer Valley High School Fireworks Display & Spectacular which is always a night to remember. With a BBQ, bar, refreshments & side stalls, there is plenty to do and keep the kids occupied before the display starts at 8.00pm. All money raised is ploughed straight back into the school which is situated next to Broomfield Hospital.

Also on 4th November 2011 is the Chelmsford Fireworks Display & Funfair taking place at Nabotts Roundabout. Always a great night out for all the family or a group of friends. Prices and times, as at 17th November 2011, had yet to be confirmed.

The following night on 5th November 2011, The Chelmsford Round Table will be holding their Fireworks Night in Admirals Park. Raising thousands of pounds for charity every year, this Chelmsford Fireworks Display is regarded as the biggest and the best in the area. This years event will see the gates open at 6.00pm and the fireworks display beginning at 7.30pm and include the Heart FM Roadshow live on stage in between.

In the villages & towns surrounding Chelmsford, Fireworks Displays are also taking place over the Guy Fawkes weekend. First up is the Ongar Fireworks Spectacular which takes place on 4th November 2011 at the Chipping Ongar Primary School. Hosted by Ongar Round Table it raises lots of money for charity every year and is run by the professional fireworks company Starburst.

The next night, actual Bonfire Night (5th November), will see the skies light up around the Chelmsford area with a number of firework displays and firework spectaculars. Amongst these, The Danbury Scouts will be holding their 43rd Danbury Fireworks Display with over 200 volunteers helping to put on a fantastic show for all the family. Other attractions will include live entertainment hosted by BBC Essex, a funfair & a giant bonfire.

Also on 5th November 2011 is a massive event located at Marsh Farm, the South Woodham Ferrers Fireworks Display, which is run by the local Rotary Club. With the gates opening at 5.30pm, there is lots to see and do both before & after the fireworks start at 7.15pm, including live entertainment, parade of guys, a fairground, stalls and beer tent. You can even get a free bus to the event from the town!

Again on 5th November 2011 are the Good Easter Fireworks where the Good Easter Sportfield Association will be holding a firework night on Fountain Road. Bonfire to be lit at 7.00pm with fireworks at 7.30pm. This event is FREE of charge and you are free to bring your own fireworks which will be lit by the organisers.

Further down the road, but held again on 5th November 2011, is the Billericay Fireworks Display situated in Lake Meadows Park. Celebrating their 42nd annual fireworks display, the Billericay Round Table invite everyone to come and see over £20K worth of fireworks sent skyward by the European firework display champions, Jubilee Fireworks. Other features of the evening are a huge bonfire, Martin & Su from the Heart FM Breakfast Show, & a torch light procession. If you are in the area and love fireworks, this is the one not to be missed!

A little further afield, but once again on 5th November 2011, is the Witham Fireworks Display which can be found in Maldon Road Park (Town Park). Gates and side attractions open at 6.00pm, the bonfire will be lit at 7.00pm, and the £4.5K fireworks display will start at 7.30pm. All proceed raised will be donated to charity by the organisers, Witham Round Table.

Your last chance to see fireworks in the Chelmsford area will be at the Maldon Fireworks Display will be taking place on Sunday 5th November 2011. The gates open at Promenade Park at 5.30pm with the display starting at 7.30pm. With pre-bought tickets at £5 for adults, just £3 for children and the under 5's free, it is one of the best value fireworks displays in the Chelmsford area and always a great spectacle for all the family.
