Chelmsford County High School for Girls (CCHS) is a foundation high school for girls aged between 11 and 18. It is one of a small group of schools in the UK which holds triple specialist status, the three subjects being Technology, Music and Language. In its most recent Ofsted Report in 2010, it was described as an ‘Outstanding School'.

With almost 900 students, of which approximately a third make up a strong Sixth Form element to the school, Chelmsford County High School for Girls prides itself on helping each pupil fulfil their potential in "pursuit of excellence". With a huge variety of extra curricular activities on offer, such as foreign exchange trips, school societies & clubs, a regular day visits to museums and places of interest, the students often achieve both local and national recognition in a wide range of subjects.

In addition to specialising in Technology, Music and Language (Latin, Russian, Spanish, French, and Italian), Chelmsford County High School for Girls also covers a number of subjects under the guidance of the national curriculum. Some of the various departments at the school include Psychology, ICT, Music, Drama, Careers, and Citizenship.

On its website, Headteacher, Mrs Nicole Chapman, states that Chelmsford County High School for Girls believes that there is "convincing evidence that girls achieve best in a single-sex environment" & that their vision is based on "developing the leaders of tomorrow". Mrs Chapman goes on to say that the school also believes in "traditional values" and that pupils are given "every opportunity to flourish academically".

Chelmsford County High School for Girls can be found in Broomfield Road, less than a mile to the north of Chelmsford town centre.
