The Chelmsford and District Badminton Federation was formed in 1953 and currently has 13 clubs in and around the Chelmsford area.

Each of the clubs has teams in the CDBF leagues as well as holding club nights for members.

There are 4 mixed divisions, 6 mens and 3 ladies and the clubs are always looking out for new members. Standards vary so check out the details on the CDBF website and talk to the Club Secretary for more information about joining a club. All match and league results are on the website.

The CDBF run an annual knock out tournament that is played during the season (September to April) and has awards for the Shield and Plate competitions. Last seasons competition was held at Dovedales Sports Centre in April 2010.
